The Herb Stern Longport Scholarship Fund application is now available online for 2023 applicants. Application deadline April 1, 2023.

The Herb Stern Longport Scholarship Fund announces that it will award up to $25,000 in scholarships in 2023. Longport resident students who graduate high school this year or who are now in college or graduate school are eligible to apply for scholarship awards. In 2022, a total of $25,000 was awarded, the largest amount in the Fund’s history.

Longport students can find the application on the Fund’s website longportscholarshipfund.com. Students must download the form, fill it in, and email it as directed, along with the required supporting documentation, by the deadline of April 1, 2023. Applicants are judged on academic performance, extracurricular activities, and work experience. Awards will be determined and announced in April.

Award amounts have increased over the 13 years of operation, with a grand total of $150,000 granted so far. The Fund is supported by Longport year-round and seasonal residents and friends of Longport. The Fund is an IRS certified 501(c)(3) non-profit. (provided by the Herb Stern Longport Scholarship Fund)
